Warner’s Farm lies in unspoiled Essex, between Saffron Walden, the ‘best preserved medieval market town in England’, and Thaxted with its amazing Guild Hall and music and dance festivals. Drive to picturesque Finchingfield, Steeple Bumpsted and Castle Hedingham through rolling countryside. The university town of Cambridge with its World Heritage architecture and museums is only twenty miles to the north, and Newmarket, the centre for horse racing and breeding is just 30 miles away, and the Imperial War Museum, Duxford is just 10 miles. Here there is something for everyone, small independent shops and traditional open-air markets, vineyards, horse-riding, historic railways and aviation, Anglo-Saxon churches and footpaths along ancient Roman roads and bridle ways.
We’re walking distance, or a 5 minute drive, to our nearest gastropub: The White Hart at Wimbish, where many of our guests enjoy dining when they stay with us. Excellent restaurants and foodie pubs in the area, lots to see and do and a peaceful space to unwind.
